What is Geran Digital PMKS Madani?

The Geran Digital PMKS Madani (GDPM) initiative is a collaboration between Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) improve their digitalization applications in daily business operations.

The Madani Budget 2023 allocated RM100 million to the initiative, which provides matching grants of 50% or up to RM5,000 to eligible businesses.

Are you Eligible?

  • Applicants who meet the criteria below are eligible and encouraged to apply
  • Malaysian-Owned: MSMEs/ Cooperatives must be at least 60% owned by Malaysian citizens
  • Registration Requirements: Must be registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) / Business license with local authority (PBT).Cooperatives (Koperasi) that are registered with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) / professional licenses.
  • Operating Duration: The business should be operating for at least six months
  • Annual Turnover: Must have an annual turnover of an average of at least RM 50,000.00
  • Previous Grants: MSMEs/ Cooperatives must not have received previous Digitalisation Matching Grants.

  • Copy of business owner/director(s)/ partner(s)/ proprietor(s) NRIC ( front and back)
  • Latest SSM business profile/Business registration documents / SKM registration doc.
  • Financial documents such as latest two months bank statement, latest audited accounts,or management accounts. Gross Yearly Turnover (Inform to DP)
  • Invoice or Quotation issued by Digitalisation Partner (DP)

Application Process

  • STEP 1 :

    Contact and appoint us as your preferred Digitalisation Partner (DP) in order to proceed with the grant application.

  • STEP 2 :

    MSMEs to submit all the supporting documents and information required through the online application system : Fully Redeemed

  • STEP 3 :

    Eligibility check by MCMC/ MDEC shall take place. Once the application is approved, MSMEs will be informed via email. MSMEs are then required to make the initial payment through the digital platform within 30 days.

  • STEP 4 :

    Once the verification of initial payment made by MSMEs has been completed , your selected Digitalisation Partner (DP) shall deliver its service(s) to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve received a Digitalisation Matching Grant in the past. Can I still apply?
No, MSMEs or cooperatives that have received a Digitalisation Matching Grant in the past are not eligible for the MSME Digital Grant MADANI.
What is the maximum amount I can apply for under this grant?
The grant covers 50% of the invoiced amount or up to RM5,000.00 for each eligible MSME or cooperative to implement digitalisation.
Which Key Sectors to utilize the grant?

i) food and beverage service;
ii) retail
iii) professional services
iv) smart agriculture; and
v) digital healthcare.

How much do I need to pay upfront?
MSME must pay the remaining invoice amount (after deducting the grant) to the Digitalisation Partner via Funding Societies’ payment services within 14 days. Upon service delivery, Digitalisation Partners will receive 50% of the total invoice amount or up to RM5,000
How long does the application process take?
The application process duration can take up to 3 working days. After you submit your application, it will be reviewed for approval. You will be notified via email about the status of your application.
What documents are needed to apply for the grant?
You will need to provide a completed online application form, NRIC copy of the Owner/Director/Partner, business registration license/SSM business profile, and your latest audited/management accounts or latest two-month bank statements.
What happens if my application is approved?
If your application is approved, you will be notified via email. You are then required to pay the remaining invoice amount (after deducting the subsidy) within 14 days. Upon successful payment, your Digitalisation Partner will commence delivering the service.
How do I make the payment?
You will receive an email with a unique payment link. You are required to make the payment via the payment link.
What happens if I fail to make the payment within the specified period?
If you fail to make the payment within the specified period, your grant approval will be automatically cancelled and you would have to reapply for the grant.
How will I be informed about the progress of my application status?
You will be notified via email about the progress of your application status.
Can I apply for more than one type of service under this initiative?
Yes, you can apply for up to three types of digital services under the MSME Digital Grant MADANI.
